Er. Shafat Ahmad Jeelani, Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering from NIT, Sgr (erstwhile REC, Sgr) is a distinguished engineer with a career spanning over 38 years. He has worked extensively both within India and internationally, amassing a wealth of experience across various engineering domains. His significant contributions and roles include:

Chief Engineer, M&HE Department, Kashmir: Oversaw multiple engineering projects and operations, ensuring quality and efficiency in execution.
Former Chief Inspector of Lifts & Elevators: Ensured the safety and compliance of lifts and elevators, implementing rigorous inspection protocols.

Throughout his career, Er. Retd. as Chief Engineer, J&K Power Transmission Corporation on 31 st of August 2023. He has 35 years of experience in Power Distribution and Transmission sectors. He has been a prolific achiever in each and every assignment that he was entrusted with.

He has been one of the most articulate and visionary technocrats of the state and a perpetual performer. Adding a total of about 3500 MVA capacity in the transmission sector in Kashmir in a short period of 3 years goes to his credit which has been unprecedented. He has been a front runner in augmenting the transmission capacities of existing lines by using HTLS ( High Temperature Low Sag Conductor) the High temperature low sag conductor for the first time in the valley. He has also commissioned about 4 GIS stations for the first time in UT.

Er. Matloob Mehdi B.E Civil from NIT Srinagar(Erstwhile REC Srinagar) has over 40 years of experience in the construction industry, particularly in the water, sewage and stormwater sectors both in India and abroad. His expertise includes project construction, site supervision and gaining government and authorities' approvals. He has extensive experience with the Municipality & ADWEA on various infrastructure projects, including construction and commissioning, monthly valuations, claims assessment and final accounts auditing. Er. Mehdi is adept at liaising with ADWEA/Municipality, clients and consultants on technical, contractual and financial issues, providing technical support for construction works and ensuring stringent quality control and on-site health and safety procedures.

  • Managed the construction of a balancing reservoir and a hydroelectric power station in Kashmir, India.
  • Supervised the construction of sewerage pipelines, pumping stations, sewage treatment plants and stormwater drainage systems.

  • Liaison with ADWEA/Municipality, clients and consultants on technical, construction, contractual and financial issues.
  • Major projects include the rehabilitation of water networks in Al Ain, infrastructure works for Al Ain University, reuse of treated effluent for irrigation, high-pressure pipeline to Jabel Hafeet and extension of Ummal Nar Pumping Station.
  • Managed water distribution network projects at Al Foah, Al Hilli Industrial Area and Bida Bint Saud, involving the installation of 122 km of potable water main and distribution networks.
  • Supervised water supply augmentation along Abu Dhabi Cornice and city center.
  • Managed the construction of potable water reservoirs at ADWEA Khabisi Compound and ADWEA Sarouj Compound.
